MEET CHEF CAROLINE ARTISS

Award-Winning Chef Turned Private Dog Chef

I’m Caroline Artiss, a British-born, Los Angeles-based chef, cookbook author, television personality and lifelong animal lover.

For more than 25 years, I have worked across professional kitchens, television, publishing, hospitality and food-brand development. My career includes three published cookbooks and serving as Executive Consultant Chef for The Gorgeous Kitchen at London Heathrow—named the world’s best airport restaurant.

I also co-founded The Great American Fries Co. in Santa Monica, served as CEO of a premium fresh dog-food company and created Family Choice Award-winning dog treats.

WHY I COOK FOR PETS

My work as a private dog chef grew from a simple belief: the animals we love deserve fresh food prepared with the same quality, expertise and care we expect for ourselves.

I combine my professional culinary experience with a deep understanding of ingredients, flavor, recipe development and the practicalities of cooking fresh food for animals.

I have worked with dogs of different ages, breeds and nutritional needs—from healthy dogs whose families want to feed them exceptionally well to senior pets, selective eaters and dogs with complicated medical conditions.

When a pet requires a therapeutic or complete and balanced diet, I collaborate with their veterinarian and qualified veterinary nutrition professionals rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

AN ANIMAL LOVER FIRST

My dedication to animals extends far beyond the kitchen.

I support rescue organizations and have been personally involved in saving animals in need—including flying alone to Egypt to rescue a dog named Elliot and bring him safely to the United States.

For me, this work has always been personal. I understand that our pets are not simply animals who live in our homes. They are treasured members of our families.

A TRULY BESPOKE SERVICE

Every pet, family and household is different.

I take time to understand your pet’s personality, preferences, routine, health history and current food before recommending the right service.

Some clients want a private chef to prepare their pet’s meals regularly in their home. Others need a custom recipe, help feeding a senior or sick dog, or a virtual lesson so they can confidently prepare fresh food themselves.

Whatever your needs, everything I create is personal, carefully considered and made with love.
